General Description
The
MNT Assistant™ is a set of Microsoft Access databases, instructional
material and support services including email, phone and web support,
for the confidential management of MNT data and distribution of
tailored educational material to MNT clients. Its general features and
specifications are:
1. Database driven (Microsoft Access 2007 Runtime).
2. User access via Microsoft Access Forms and Reports.
3. Secure password protected access to data manipulation and report generation
4. Database compatibility with other ODBC compliant applications
5. Comprehensive MNT Patient Profile Questionnaire
6. MNT Patient Profile Reports, including
• Dietary Habits and Nutrient Analysis Results
• Clinical Reports of Test Results
• Behavioral Intervention Status Reports
• MNT Session Notes
• Patient-Tailored Dietary Recommendations
• Super Bill
7. Updates and Improvements based on Evidence-Based Guides for Practice 8. Email, phone and web support services
System Requirements
The
MNT Assistant™ has been developed for and tested to work on a Microsoft
Windows XP SP2 and Vista environments with MS Word XP/2003/2007 and MS
Excel XP/2003/2007.
Hardware compatibility with these programs or higher versions is
required. It’s not required that you have Microsoft Access installed.
Mac users have been able to use the MNT Assistant™ in
Parrellels/Bootcamp/VM Ware Fusion (on newest Macs).

data is securely stored, using a password protected system or a user
based security system that may comply with HIPAA requirements when
accompanied by working policies.
