
Guidelines Management Form
Purpose:
This form allows access to add, view and edit evidence based guidelines, behavioral objectives and create templates of notes associated with each guideline topic.
Function:
Opening the ‘Manage Guidelines and Objectives’ window allow you access to a number of useful tools for managing guidelines and objectives. This button is found on the main Control Panel.
Click on ‘Guidelines’ to add, view and edit the guideline topics and notes associated with those topics. Use the navigation tool at the bottom of the window to create or move between records. The template of notes you type here will appear in your patient notes after clicking the guideline pencil button on your Session Notes window. Use the binoculars to find Guidelines by topic name.
Click on ‘Objectives to add, view or edit behavioral objectives.
Click on ‘Link Interventions and Objectives’ to associate the behavioral objectives with the guideline topic. When new evidence based guidelines are released, you can update your guidelines here.
Click on ‘Define Objective Categories’ to add, view or edit objective categories. These are categories designed to group objectives in the intervention list. You may print out an intervention list report or a categories report on this window too. The interventions report shows the guideline topics with the associated objectives by category.
Notes:
When you provide a series of consultations such as for weight management (a series of eight) or diabetes (a series of 3), you may want to prepare a template for each session in the series. Click on ‘Guidelines’, create topic names for each session in the series and write an outline of notes for each session. Then when you provide each session in your series, you will have the appropriate notes at your fingertips..
