Is the MNT Assistant™ data secured by a password?
Yes. The MNT Assistant™ is actually two databases. The front-end database is called “MNT_Assistant.mdb.” It contains the non-confidential data and algorithms used to operate the MNT Assistant™ program. The back-end database is called “MNTaDatabase.mdb.” It contains all of your clients’ personal information and records. It is secured by the password located in your installation packet. The database “MNT_Assistant.mdb” opens “MNTaDatabase.mdb” by using this password. If you want to open “MNTaDatabase.mdb,“ separately, then you also must also enter this password.
Can I assign a password to “MNT_Assistant.mdb”?
Not
directly but you can set passwords up for every user name and check the
box that requires everyone to have a user name to log in. Located in MNT Assistant Biller Information Form.
Are there ways to keep MNT Assistant™ more secure?
Yes,
you can ask your network administrator to set-up user-level security.
This restricts access on your network to specified individuals.
To learn more about user-level security, press F1, select the Answer
Wizard and type in “user-level security” then click search.
Where do I get the newest MNT Assistant™ update?
Yes, updates of the MNT Assistant™ will be available regularly. Updates are checked by the 'Update Check" button in the ribbon, in the MNT Assistant Login Form and MNT Assistant Control Panel Form.
