
Contact Form
Purpose:
The Contacts window allows you to record contacts such as emails, letters, and phone communications. It links with other office programs including MS Word and MS Outlook.
Function:
Select the date of this contact. You may use the calendar button to choose the date or type in the date using this format – dd/mm/yyyy. Select the type of contact. The window will adjust depending on the contact type you select.
By choosing ‘email’ the “Subject” line will appear. Complete your email content and then click ‘Email Patient.’ The email will open MS Outlook with your email content ready to send. Choose ‘Letter’ and then type the body of your letter. After clicking on ‘Write Letter,’ you will see your letter prepared in MS Word. You may continue to edit your letter and then print it. MS Word opens the letter in rich text format (RTF). You may save the letter where you normally save patient documents.
Notes:
This is an ideal tool for recording communications outside a clinical visit. .
