Clinical Tests Form
Purpose:
The Clinical Test Results window provides a place to record test results from procedures commonly performed for Medical Nutrition Therapy assessments. Included is a record of clinical test goals and reference ranges.
Function:
Record clinical test results in the appropriate fields. After entering height and weight values, a body mass index value will automatically be generated. The background color of the BMI value will change according to where it falls within the adult reference range.
Four open fields are available to record any test result that is not listed among the available field options. To use these fields, first go to the ‘view/edit goals’ window. Type the name and the goal or reference range in the appropriate open fields. Then on the clinical test results window type the test result value in the corresponding open field. The test name will appear.
If you are working with a pediatric patient, you may use the Pediatric Calculator to compute the height, weight and BMI percentiles. Click on the ‘Get Percentiles’ button to paste those values from the Pediatric
Calculator to this window.
The report buttons provide simple reports of the clinical test results and their goals for you to share with your patients.
Notes:
Clicking on the ‘Get Percentiles’ button will open the pediatric calculator if no values have been recently calculated. Otherwise it will copy the recently calculated percentiles into the Clinical Test Results window.
