Billing and Claims Utility Form

Purpose:
The Billing and Claims Utility form provides a tool to view processed claims, submitted claims, create a status report of all claims and to generate an electronic record to submit for billing. The Billing Record may also be accessed through this form. It will help you reconcile your billing records.

Function:
By clicking the ‘Processed Claims’ button you will be able to view and edit claims that have been processed but not yet printed or exported. Use the navigation tool at the bottom of the window to move to different records.

The ‘Submitted Claims’ button allows you to view claim forms that have already been printed or exported. Delete the ‘Export Date’ if you want to resubmit a claim.

Click on the ‘View/Print Claims Status Report’ button to see a status report of all claims.

To process claims electronically, you need to create a file with your claims data and then upload it to a claims processor or clearinghouse (we recommend Office Ally). The Export Folder window, is where you will put the path of where you want to put the electronic claims data file. The default path is C:/Apps/. You may browse to any location on your hard drive to save your export file. When you have completed the export, you will upload claims file from this same location. Click the ‘Export’ button to create the claims data file.

When doing electronic billing the clearinghouse would like you to process a number of claims at the same time unless you are resubmitting a single claim. They prefer you submit at least 3 to 10 claims in a single batch.
